How we process and protect your personal data

YourTech (Dylan Bricar) is committed to processing your personal data transparently, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, and the ePrivacy Directive.

2Data Protection Officer (DPO)

YourTech is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 GDPR (no large-scale processing of sensitive data, no public authority). For any request relating to your personal data, contact us directly at: contact@yourtech.be

3Categories of data processed

3.1 Website visitors

During your visit, we collect via Google Analytics (G-30FC0QZRZ2): anonymised IP address, pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, traffic source. This data is only collected with your explicit consent (cookie banner). Without consent, no analytics cookies are set.

3.2 Contact form

When you fill in our contact form, we collect: name, email address, message, IP address (for anti-spam security via Cloudflare Turnstile). This data is stored in our database (table contact_submissions).

3.3 B2B prospects (commercial prospecting)

As part of our B2B commercial prospecting, we process publicly available professional data: company name, public professional email address, website, professional phone number, NACE/NAF code, professional social media profiles (LinkedIn). Sources: public business registers (Belgian KBO/BCE, French SIRENE, Swiss Zefix), public professional directories (Pages d'Or, Kompass), public databases (Pappers, Belgian Official Gazette, Crunchbase) and public web sources.

4Legal bases for processing

4.1 Visitor analytics

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie management banner accessible in the footer.

4.2 Contact request processing

Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) to ensure form security.

4.3 B2B prospecting

Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), in accordance with the position of the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD) and the B2B exception recognised by the CNIL (France). Our legitimate interest lies in promoting our web agency services to companies likely to benefit from them. A Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) is documented internally and available on request at contact@yourtech.be. Any recipient may object at any time (see section 8).

5Retention periods

  • Contact requests: 3 years from the last exchange.
  • B2B prospect data: 3 years from the last contact (configurable via DATA_RETENTION_MONTHS variable).
  • Suppression list (opt-out): kept indefinitely — legal obligation to honour unsubscribe requests.
  • Audit logs: 5 years.

6Recipients and sub-processors

Your data may be shared with the following sub-processors, bound by GDPR-compliant processing agreements:

  • Vercel Inc. (hosting) — servers in the European Union
  • Neon Inc. (PostgreSQL database) — servers in the European Union
  • OVH SAS (SMTP email) — servers in France
  • Cloudflare Inc. (Turnstile anti-spam) — data processed with Standard Contractual Clauses
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) — only with your explicit consent

7Transfers outside the EEA

Google Analytics transfers data to the United States. This transfer is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and is conditional on your prior consent. No other transfers to third countries are made.

8Your GDPR rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15): obtain confirmation of processing and receive a copy of your data.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): request deletion of your data under certain conditions.
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18): request temporary suspension of processing.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21): object at any time to processing based on legitimate interest, including commercial prospecting.

To exercise your rights: send an email to contact@yourtech.be specifying your request and enclosing proof of identity. If you received a prospecting email, use the unsubscribe link provided in that email — it is the fastest method.

We will respond within one month (extendable to 3 months for complex requests).

9Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority competent for your place of residence:

10Cookies

  • Essential cookies (no consent required): theme preference cookie (next-themes), consent cookie (cookie-consent). These cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function.
  • Analytics cookies (consent required): Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid). Set only after explicit acceptance. Used to analyse site usage in aggregate.

Manage your preferences: use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to change your choices at any time. Your choice is stored for 14 days if you decline, indefinitely if you accept.

11B2B Prospecting — specific clause

YourTech conducts B2B commercial email campaigns on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). The data processed is exclusively publicly available professional data. Each email includes a functional unsubscribe link. Objection is definitive and irreversible: your address is placed on a suppression list and will never be contacted again. The Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) covering these campaigns is documented internally and available on request at contact@yourtech.be.
